​As soon as I signed up to the gym, I was clueless on where to start. The internet provided some foundation but was confusing as it was not specific to my needs as a beginner. I would just come into the gym, do a bit of cardio and smash myself on the assisted machines and see no result. Luckily, I was provided the opportunity to be mentored by Dean Austin, who reassured that with hard work and his guidance I would see the results I was looking for.

 

His passion for the benefit of his clients covered all the bases I needed to progress in strength and fat loss but in a safe, healthy and positive environment. Training with Dean for the past year and half, I can affirm that I am a more competent gym-goer in knowledge and practice and that is through our constant collaboration and his exchange of knowledge.
 

Today, I have lost around 10kg in weight and dropped 4 pant sizes, I am proud of what I have achieved through his training. I could not have imagined that I would be where I am without the help of my PT. Since day 1 we have been training compound lifts and I have seen great improvements in numbers not to mention my ability to perform push-ups. I still have a long way to go in my fitness journey but I look forward to what I can achieve through Dean Austin’s PT Services.

Dean has been an amazing support on my fitness journey. His educational and fun approach to nutrition and fitness helped me integrate manageable healthy changes into my life at my own pace.

I trained with Dean for a year and during this time, not only have my body and strength evolved, my outlook on fitness and nutrition has completely changed. When I started training with Dean my aim was to maintain my weight at 54kgs (height 171cm) – I had this notion that lifting heavy weights and increasing the amount that I ate would make my body look less feminine.

 

Less than 6 months later (with help from Dean to maintain a consistent nutrition plan and training sessions) I was 57kgs, my waist measurements had dropped from 60cm to 54cm and I was stronger than I had ever been. Dean took all the pressure away from learning how to do often daunting and technical exercises like squats, bench press, and deadlifts – he was able to challenge me while also facilitating a fun and comfortable environment.

 

His passion for strength training and a healthy (but attainable) lifestyle is contagious and I can 100% say that I would not have made the progress I have made today without his knowledge, compassion, and ongoing support.

I started training with Dean nearly 12 months ago now after many unsuccessful attempts at trying to get back into the gym and maintain a regular exercise routine.

 

I’ve had many great trainers who have helped me in different ways. In 2013, I had a trainer who helped me to lose weight and compete in a fitness model competition when living in Townsville. After reaching that amazing goal, I had a few personal life struggles and my training was the last thing on my mind.

 

A few years later after a move to Sydney, crazy work hours and numerous attempts at getting back into it, I signed up with Dean. He was able to reset my stubborn mindset and take me back to the basics in order for me to achieve greater feats. It’s been a long road, but in the first year I have become more flexible than I can remember, my fitness has improved dramatically to a point where I have already been able to halve my blood pressure medication, and finally I am the strongest I have been mentally and physically for the first time since 2013.

 

Dean has stuck with me and not given up on my progress and always makes the workouts easy to understand yet challenging to get through.

 

I highly recommend you contact Dean, whether you’re a beginner or someone who has spent years in a gym but wants to take things to the next level.

My journey is slow and will take time but I know what we are doing is making a difference and I will reach my goal. Dean has been very helpful and supportive about my goal and where I want to get to and I will.

Dean is a very easy-going person and can always have a chat with him outside of your session if you have any questions or want to go over anything. Being able to have someone in your corner supporting you and encouraging you towards your goal and throughout your journey is important and a great attribute that Dean has.

I would definitely recommend training with Dean, if you’re after someone that is invested in you and your journey and wants to see you reach your goal and be able to go through the good and the bad, the ups and downs and have some laughs and good banter with, then look no further.

Before I started training with Dean, I felt stuck, a bit lost and did not know how to reach my goals. Training with him as enabled me to see results consistently. All his programs are creative and interesting, which helped me stay motivated. He also taught me how to improve my lifestyle to make these amazing results sustainable and helped me rediscover the love I once had for the fitness industry.
